Project Summary:
The scope of work for this project included the design of reroofing of 33,212 square feet of Cold Tar Bitumen Built-Up Roof.

At the beginning of the project, the existing built-up roof had been in service for 23 years. Although the roof had not leaked, it was at the end of its service life and the Owner chose to replace it and make certain improvements. Among the changes to the roof system were additional thermal insulation, positive slope to drain, new stainless steel flashing metal, and a standing seam metal roof over the cafeterium in the center of the building. These improvements were made while the school was in continuous operation and classes were in session. The new roof system is a cold tar bitumen built-up roof.
