Project Summary:
The scope of work for this project included the design of reroofing of 62,710 square feet of built up roof.

The existing built-up roof consisted of a three (3) ply ballasted gravel system over lightweight concrete insulation on a 26 gauge metal deck.

The new roof system had additional lightweight concrete insulation for both slope and thermal increase with a new modified built-up roof system. The raised mechanical pods received new metal sloped roofs while the HVAC equipment was concealed behind new vertical metal panels. In Addition to the above, a new perimeter parapet wall was constructed with finished vertical metal panels, which completely updated the school's appearance and matched the other newer schools in Alachua County.
