Project Summary:
The scope of work for this project included the design of reroofing of 102,000 square feet of 24 gage standing seam galvalume metal roofing over 1½" metal deck.

This entire campus was new construction 1988, and had water infiltration problems from that point in time. The standing seam metal roof was the source of the problems. We conducted an investigation of the existing conditions and compiled a report on the conditions, including recommendations for repair of the original metal roof.

Due to the installation methods used, the most cost effective course of action was to remove and replace the entire 102,000 square foot, 7 year old metal roof. The new metal roof system moved the gutter to the outside edge and introduced a modified bitumen underlayment where there was none previously.
